Terms & Conditions

Last updated: DRAFT — replace with your review date

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Linqt (the "Service"), operated by [Your Company Legal Name]. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Your account

  • You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep it up to date.
  • You are responsible for all activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure.
  • You must be legally able to enter into a binding agreement to use the Service.

2. Acceptable use

You may not use the Service to create short links, QR codes, or hosted pages that:

  • Link to malware, phishing pages, or other content designed to harm or deceive visitors.
  • Infringe someone else's intellectual property, privacy, or other legal rights.
  • Violate any applicable law, including spam, fraud, or unlawful marketing regulations.
  • Attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorised access to the Service or other users' accounts.

We may disable or delete any link, QR code, or account that violates this policy, with or without notice.

3. Plans and billing

  • The Free plan is available at no cost, subject to the usage limits shown in your dashboard.
  • Paid (Pro) plans are billed on a recurring basis until cancelled. Prices are shown before you subscribe.
  • You can cancel a paid plan at any time from your billing settings; access continues until the end of the current billing period.
  • Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of the destination URLs, WiFi credentials, contact details, and other data you add to the Service. You grant us a limited licence to store and process that data solely to operate the Service — for example, redirecting a short link or rendering a QR code.

5. Service availability

We aim to keep the Service available and reliable, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted access. We may suspend the Service for maintenance, or modify or discontinue features, with reasonable notice where practical.

6. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, [Your Company Legal Name] is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

7. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

8. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll post the updated version here with a new "last updated" date; continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

9. Governing law

[Placeholder — specify the governing law and jurisdiction for disputes, e.g. "These Terms are governed by the laws of ___, and disputes will be resolved in the courts of ___."]
