Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: Sep 17, 2026
DRAFT — replace with your review date.
This Acceptable Use Policy explains what you may and may not do with Linqt (the "Service"). It applies to short links, QR codes, hosted pages, DDNS hosts, and anything else you create with your account. It's part of, and should be read alongside, our Terms & Conditions.
Prohibited content and activity
You may not use the Service to create, host, redirect to, or distribute anything that:
- Contains malware, ransomware, or other software designed to damage or gain unauthorised access to a system.
- Is a phishing page, or otherwise impersonates a real person, brand, or organisation to deceive visitors.
- Infringes someone else's copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights — see our separate Copyright Policy for how we handle takedown requests.
- Is unlawful in the jurisdiction where it's created, hosted, or accessed, including content that facilitates fraud, unlawful gambling, or the sale of illegal goods or services.
- Harasses, threatens, or incites violence against any person or group.
- Is sexually explicit content involving minors, or any other content exploiting minors — this is never permitted, without exception.
- Sends spam, or is used as part of an unsolicited bulk messaging campaign that violates applicable anti-spam law.
Prohibited use of the Service itself
- Attempting to gain unauthorised access to another account, or to any part of the Service not intended for public use.
- Probing, scanning, or testing the vulnerability of the Service without our prior written permission.
- Circumventing plan limits, rate limits, or usage caps through automation, multiple accounts, or other means.
- Reselling or sublicensing access to the Service without our agreement.
- Interfering with or disrupting the Service, or the servers and networks connected to it.
DDNS and hosted content
A DDNS hostname or hosted QR/short-link page you create points at infrastructure you control. You're responsible for what's reachable at that address — the same restrictions above apply to whatever a visitor finds once they get there, not just to what's stored directly on Linqt.
Enforcement
If we determine, in our reasonable judgment, that a link, QR code, DDNS host, or account violates this policy, we may:
- Disable or delete the specific link, QR code, or host in question.
- Suspend or terminate the associated account.
- Report the activity to law enforcement, where appropriate.
We aim to act proportionately, but for content that poses an immediate risk (malware, phishing, child safety), we may act immediately and without prior notice.
Reporting abuse
If you come across a Linqt-hosted link, QR code, or page that you believe violates this policy, please report it to abuse@linqt.to with the address in question and a short description of the issue.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll post the updated version here with a new "last updated" date.
